Shifting Perspectives, Illuminate Imaginations
Terence’s abstraction serves as a visual language, communicating through the essential elements of art: color, texture, gesture, and light. His multi-layered compositions, built through a vigorous process of addition and subtraction of images, speak to a condition of global modernity; a sense of layered histories with compression of time, construction and deconstruction, simultaneous realities highly fragmented yet coherent wholes.
His works does not just feature a place but evokes a state of being recognizable across cultures: the quiet awe before vastness, the dynamic tension between control and release, the search for resonance in complexity, the tussle between heritage and development. He creates silent yet potent objects that shift the perspective of the viewer from passive observer to active co-creator of meaning, illuminating imagination as a universal human faculty.
Bio/CV
Born in Singapore in 1970. Graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Electronics Engineering in 1990. A self-taught professional photographer since 2007.
In 2015, I discovered an intriguing method of combining photographic techniques with painting and design concepts. Delving into this new approach, I began creating artworks in giclée prints on high-quality museum-grade archival paper, utilizing state-of-the-art printing and ink technologies. Each piece is crafted with meticulous care, resulting in an artwork that is both unique and enduring.
I am a lifetime member of the Society Of Chinese Artists (SOCA) in Singapore. The society's artist roster includes many of Singapore's renowned art luminaries.

Photographer for book "Soul of Ink", authored by Mr Woon Tai Ho (renowned art collector-writter and founder of Channel NewsAsia). The book is the story of Singapore Cultural Medallion award winner (2003) and Centenarian (2021) artist Mr Lim Tze Peng's (林子平先生) lifetime of art. On 15th June 2021, Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong launched the book at The Art House to honor his achievements. (The Cultural Medallion award is Singapore's highest accolade for the arts). The book features many never seen before images of Mr Lim working on his art creations and him sharing personal moments with friends and family. Many of his artworks (images) are also featured in the book.
