Shifting Perspectives, Illuminate Imaginations
I create art to challenge and enrich the way we see the world. Through layering images infused with painting and digital design concepts, I craft scenes that blur the line between reality and fantasy. My work begins with lifelike details, which I then transform with playful, unexpected twists, resulting in visually striking, semi-abstract compositions that intrigue the mind.
Blending meticulous planning with serendipitous discoveries, I navigate the balance between order and chaos, reflecting how structured reality collides with the boundless potential of imagination. It’s about defying conventions and igniting curiosity. I want my art to serve as a portal—where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary and the familiar dissolves into something entirely new.
Bio/CV
Born in Singapore in 1970. Graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Electronics Engineering in 1990. A self-taught professional photographer since 2007.
In 2015, I discovered an intriguing method of combining photographic techniques with painting and design concepts. Delving into this new approach, I began creating artworks in giclée prints on high-quality museum-grade archival paper, utilizing state-of-the-art printing and ink technologies. Each piece is crafted with meticulous care, resulting in an artwork that is both unique and enduring.
I am a lifetime member of the Society Of Chinese Artists (SOCA) in Singapore. The society's artist roster includes many of Singapore's renowned art luminaries.
